Louisa CARLTON was born on 13th October 1877 in Stetchworth (Newmarket Q4-1877 3B:546 ) daughter of Robert and Sarah CARLTON (née ROSE).

1881 census...Aged 3, she was at Park Farm Cottages with her father Robert CARLTON [36] farm labourer born Hinderclay; her mother Sarah [48] born Rickinghall; brother Frederick [22] farm labourer born Hinderclay; sisters Maria [19] and Ellen [13] both born Hinderclay.

1891 census...Aged 14, she was a nursemaid at Primrose House, High Street,Newmarket for trainer Alfred D.SADLER

1901 census...Aged 23, she was still a nursemaid in the SADLER household at Primrose House.

In 1906 she married Thomas Wallace WATERS.

1911 census...Aged 33 she was at the Marlborough Club with her husband as caretakers with their son Thomas Alfred [4] born Newmarket.

In the 1939 register she was at the Marlborough Club, Market Street, Newmarket with her husband Thomas W Waters [1-6-1882]. They were stewards at the Club. The register has her birth wrong, it was not 1876. Louisa was killed at the Marlborough Club, High Street, Newmarket




Louisa is buried in Newmarket Cemetery, Ref: New Ground K:269
